Acid reflux and self-care

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition in which gastric juice flows back into the esophagus. which is caused by stomach acid

Anyone can have acid reflux. These behaviors There is a risk of acid reflux.

-Eat food not on time

- Eat and then go to bed immediately.

-Eat citrus fruits regularly.

-Drinking alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and smoking.

-Pregnant women

- Overweight or obesity -Diabetic patients - Taking certain medications, such as certain high blood pressure medications. - Antidepressants, etc.

These symptoms are considered warning signs of GERD. If you have the following symptoms:

- Feeling of burning in the chest area

- Symptoms are worse after eating a heavy meal.

-A sour or bitter liquid flows back up into the mouth.

-Bloating, distension, similar to indigestion.

-Nausea and vomiting after eating-

-Chest pain, tightness, as if a lump is stuck in the throat.

- Chronic sore throat



           
Adjust behavior to treat acid reflux

-Eat small amounts of food but often.

-You should not sleep immediately after eating.

-Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol.

-Avoid spicy food ,foods that are high in fat

-Avoid tea, coffee, soft drinks, and fruit juices.

-Eat dinner At least 3 hours before going to bed.

-Exercise regularly

-Do not wear clothes that are too tight.
