This disease usually occurs in early adulthood and can occur together with other diseases, such as depression. The cause of this disease is due to the autonomic nervous system not functioning properly. This is because the autonomic nervous system controls many parts of the body. Cognitive behavioral therapy: Helping patients learn that panic attacks are not as life-threatening as they often fear. Including learning to change negative thoughts. Practice responding to feelings of fear or panic that arise. Practice relaxation and managing anxiety appropriately.

- Take a long breath. Feel the movement of the breath exhaling through the nostrils until the abdomen flattens and both hands lower.

- When skilled, you may sit comfortably in a chair. Both hands are clasped in front of the legs or abdomen. Then follow the steps as if lying on your back.
