Toxic people is a term used to refer to people who have a self-centred nature, like to control others, and are temperamental. Oftentimes, the words and actions of these people cause people around them to feel bad, stressed, and hurt. Being around toxic people hurts us both physically and mentally.

Toxic people are often people close to us, such as friends, people at work, relatives, or even parents. This makes us feel uncomfortable every time we have to talk or interact with each other. Toxic people often have the following habits:

How to deal with toxic people

If people around you fall into the category of Toxic People, these methods may help you deal with them.


-You should not think that the behavior of Toxic People is normal because remaining silent is opening the way for Toxic People to display more of these behaviors. Whether it's with you or others.

-Set your own boundaries and space clearly and do not allow others to invade your privacy.

-Talk to Toxic People directly, let them know you don't like their behavior and walk away.

-Ask the reasons why the other person behaves badly towards you or others and may provide opportunities to improve their behavior, but always remember that you cannot change the behavior of Toxic People 100%. If the other party doesn't want to change their own behavior.

-Avoid interacting with Toxic People as much as possible, such as avoiding talking and doing various activities together.

You shouldn't blame yourself. Toxic people often use words and behavior to intentionally hurt your feelings without you doing anything wrong.
