Diabetes is a disease in which blood sugar levels are higher than the standard values. It is important that when you start to have diabetes you must get checked regularly. You must control your blood sugar level so that it does not exceed the controlled level. If the sugar level is allowed to increase continuously, it can result in complications such as the retina, heart, feet, and kidneys. Moreover, it is not only diabetes alone, but also blood pressure, fat, and obesity, all of which are important factors causing blood vessels to become narrowed or clogged. This results in problems with blood vessels in the brain or in the coronary arteries.





Advice for diabetic patients to prevent complications

1. Drink more than 8 glasses of clean water per day.

2. Control blood sugar levels, blood pressure, blood lipids, and body weight within limits to prevent complications from diabetes.

3. Eat 3 complete meals on time, even if you're not hungry. Reduce or avoid unnecessary snacks.

4. Eat an appropriate amount of unpolished rice, 1-2 ladles/meal.

5.Eat fresh fruit regularly, 2-3 meals per day, 6-8 pieces per meal.

6. Eat the right amount of lean meat.

7.Focus on eating more leafy vegetables.

8.Focus on plant oils in cooking.



9. It is recommended to drink 250 ml of skimmed milk per day and 1 cup of natural yogurt per day.

10. Take medicine and inject as prescribed by your doctor.

11. Check your teeth and mouth every 6 months.

12.Inspect your feet, clean them, and apply lotion every day. If abnormalities are found, see a doctor.

13. Sleep 6-8 hours a day, avoid staying up late. If abnormalities or sleep apnea are found, you should see a doctor.

14. Reduce eating sweet foods sweet drinks. Use artificial sugar or use sweeteners instead of sugar.

15. Reduce the intake of oily foods, processed foods, and foods containing coconut milk as an ingredient.

16. Reduce the intake of salty food, canned food, instant food, fermented food, and spicy sauces.

17. Refrain from drinking alcohol and smoking.
