Bloating, a sign of disease

 Most people have probably experienced bloating, flatulence, distension, and colic after meals. These symptoms don't seem serious, but if they happen often and become chronic. It may be a warning sign that you are suffering from a disease that can have a negative effect on your health.




If you have these behaviors! It may make you "bloated"

-Improper eating, such as eating too much or eating too quickly

-Eat salty food or high in sodium, such as bacon, ham, sausage

-Eat foods that are difficult to digest, such as meat and fat.

How to prevent bloating?

Preventing bloating depends on the cause. If it is not caused by a serious disease, it is most often caused by gas or wind in the digestive tract. You can prevent bloating by yourself as follows:


1. Avoid consuming extremely sweet food or drinks, soda, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Avoid dairy products if symptoms are observed to increase after consumption. Eat vegetables and fruits in appropriate amounts.

2.Change your dietary habits: Do not eat too much or too quickly at a time. Avoid sitting still or lying down immediately after eating.

3.Eat clean, cooked food that is not too high in fat.

4.Drink enough water, at least 6-8 glasses per day.

5.Exercise to help stimulate the digestive and excretory systems.

6.Manage stress by doing relaxing activities such as yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation.

7.Don't smoke. Smoking increases your risk of stomach disease.





What symptoms of bloating should you see a doctor for?

- Fart or burp more than 20 times per day.

- Bloating continuously for more than 1 week.

- Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea occur.

- Frequent constipation, rectal bleeding

- Feeling tight in the abdomen, abdominal discomfort, uncomfortable.

Bloating is a normal symptom that can happen to anyone. The main cause is food intake. If you try to notice your symptoms of bloating, then slowly change your diet and daily living habits as above.
